Flexjet Expands Fractional Fleet


05 challenger 300 The fractional jet company and jet card provider Bombardier Flexjet is upgrading and expanding its fleet and in the process, adding two new available for its jet cards program. In total, 24 new aircraft will be added to the company’s fractional fleet this year, a move that will help Flexjet maintain its status as possessing one of the youngest fractional fleets.

The fleet now includes the Challenger 605, the latest variant of the venerated Challenger 600 line of heavy business jets. The redesigned Challenger 605 features a new avionics package and a larger interior than previous versions of the jet. But technophiles are likely to be most impressed with the jets electronics suite, which includes XM Radio and DirectTV, as well as broadband internet access.

Other jets being added to the fleet include the new intercontinental-range super-midsized Challenger 300 and the midsized Learjet 60XR. Fractions as small as one-sixteenth of a jet are available for all Flexjet aircraft, which average 3.4 years old.

Additionally Flexjet is now offering Flexjet25 fractional jet cards for the Challenger 300 as well as the light Learjet 40. Flexjet25 cards are available in 25, 30, and 35-hour denominations, with the option of adding additional hours as needed. Flexjet’s program is unique in allowing fractional car holders to roll unused card hours into the purchase of a jet fraction. For flyers interested in purchasing a fraction of a Challenger 300, the $210,000 Flexjet25 card could be useful as a way to try before you buy.
