Fractional jet card provider Marquis Jet gets the spotlight on webcast
Marquis Jet’s founder and CEO Kenny Dichter recently got fifteen minutes of web fame. He sat down with journalist Andrew Shapiro, as part of CIT and Condé Nast Media Group’s “Behind the Business” webcast series.
In the interview Dichter recounts his earliest business ventures as a student at the University of Wisconsin. Dichter’s Marquis Jet Card program has proven to be a popular option for private jet travelers since it launched in 2001.
Card members buy time in a private jet in 25-hour increments, and utilize NetJets’ fleet of aircraft through sublease. Marquis Jet opened up a whole new segment of the private aviation market of travelers who don’t want to be burdened with a long term commitment in owning a jet of a fraction of one.
Similar card-based models are now offered by Flight Options with their JetPass, and the Flexjet Card. Additionally, the Vector JetCard from CitationShares starts at 20 hours.
